Cougars advise driver to find alternate routes

With Saturday’s game sold out, WSU Athletics wants to alert fans to travel options.

The sellout crowd will be the first for an opener on the Pullman campus since 1952.

In an effort to alleviate traffic coming into Pullman during home football weekends, fans are encouraged to take the alternate route from Spokane, which uses Highway 271 and Highway 27 through the towns of Rosalia, Oakesdale, Garfield and Palouse. The goal is to reduce the amount of traffic on Highway 195 and ease the bottleneck through the town of Colfax.
