Former Gonzaga player Sacre signs with Lakers
The Los Angeles Lakers signed second-round draft pick Robert Sacre on Friday. Sacre, a 7-foot Canadian who played at Gonzaga, finished his Bulldogs career with 1,270 points and 679 rebounds. He averaged 11.6 ppg during his senior season. The Lakers also added assistant coaches Eddie Jordan, Bernie Bickerstaff and Steve Clifford to Mike Brown’s coaching staff. Jordan is the former head coach at Sacramento, Washington and Philadelphia. The 68-year-old Bickerstaff was a head coach in Charlotte, Seattle, Denver and Washington. Clifford was Stan Van Gundy’s assistant in Orlando the past five seasons. – AP
