More fire evacuations in Idaho
An evacuation of Idaho’s John Creek Drainage was ordered Sunday morning after the Sheep Fire activity “significantly increased” overnight, according to a press release from the U.S. Forest Service.
The evacuation order also applies to the length of Forest Roads 221 and 441 in the area of the Old Adams Ranger Station. Residents near Florence have been asked to leave as well.
The Sheep Fire has burned 1,615 acres near Lucile, Idaho, and is believed to be human caused. There is zero containment of the fire, the press release said. About 150 firefighters are battling the blaze …

About 150 firefighters are battling the blaze, assisted by four helicopers and other equipment. An incident command post has been set up at the White Bird Rodeo Grounds.
Drivers going down Highway 95 are asked to use caution when driving through the area.
