Alice was born January 21, 1913 in Fingal, North Dakota to Alma and Frank Fredrickson.
Alice grad-uated from Valley City High School and Valley City State Teachers’ College.
She taught in a one room school in North Dakota for seven years before moving to Ridgefield, Washington where she taught for two more years.
There she met and married Max Henning in 1949.
They moved to Eastern Washington and farmed near Rosalia for many years.
They enjoyed square dancing and traveling the world when work allowed.
Alice was a wonderful cook, enjoyed needlework and was a member of the Malden Church.
In 1990, Alice and Max moved to Four Lakes, Washington and then to the Waterford Retirement Center in Spokane in 1996.
After Max passed away in 1997, Alice moved to the Waterford Retirement Center in Vancouver, Washington where she lived until her death on September 5, 2012.
Alice was preceded in death by her husband, Max, her brother, Ben Fredrickson, and two sisters, Hazel Cruff and Clara Doering.
Surviving are a nephew, Duane Fredrickson and his wife, Margaret and a great niece, Carol Bausch, of Washougal, Washington and many great nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at the Malden Community Church in Malden, Washington at 11am on September 12.
A committal service will follow at the Oakesdale Cemetery at 1pm.
