PICKETT, Nancy

A much-loved mother, grandmother, daughter and sister, Nancy Alice Pickett, 77, of Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, passed away peacefully with family by her side on September 3, 2012.

She had bravely confronted and fought Parkinson’s disease.

She was born September 7, 1934, in Spokane, Washington.


In 1951 Nancy graduated North West Christian High School.

Nancy retired from Kaiser Aluminum in 1994 after a two-year leave of absence.

She then went to work for the United Steelworkers of America International Union until 1997.

During her working years Nancy was also an officer (President & Secretary) of the United Steelworkers of America Local 4017.
Nancy will be remembered as a truly generous woman.

She brought so much joy and happiness to family and friends.

She has left her family with many wonderful memories of family gatherings at her house in the Valley, countless hours in the pool and trays and trays of Christmas cookies, to name a few.
She is survived by her brother, Lee McLaughlin and wife, Kathy McLaughlin of Lolo, Montana; sons, Charles E. Davis of Spokane, Kevin D. Davis and wife, Laurie J. Davis of Meridian, and Frank L. Davis and wife, R. Maria Davis Coeur d’Alene; grandchildren, Shaylia M. McHenry (Davis), Jennifer N. Donnell (Davis), Ashley N. Davis, Tiffany D. Davis, Nathan L. Davis, Erin K. Gulley, and Brandon R. Gulley; great grandchildren, Rylee M. McHenry, Mya L. Donnell, Jordyn M. McHenry, Justin S. Donnell, Zoey A. Gulley, Jace D. McHenry, and Kyler A. Henderson.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Lucille T. McLaughlin and father, Leroy McLaughlin.


A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 11, 2012, at the Yates Funeral Home, Hayden Chapel, 373 E. Hayden Ave.

Following will be a gathering of remembrance.

Flowers are more than welcome.
