Depp shares love of tattoos with Echols

From Wire Reports

The man Johnny Depp helped release from Arkansas’ death row has become like a brother to him, right down to getting matching tattoos.

“We have some,” Depp said Saturday as he touched a tattoo on the right side of his chest.

“This one Damien designed. It’s one of my all-time favorites, and it means quite a lot to me,” Depp said before the premiere of the documentary “West of Memphis,” about Damien Echols and his two co-defendants.

Echols, Jessie Misskelley and Jason Baldwin spent 18 years in prison for the 1993 murders of three 8-year old boys in West Memphis. All three were released after agreeing to an Alford plea that allowed them to maintain their innocence while pleading guilty.

Chenoweth recovering, and grateful

Kristin Chenoweth says she’s still on the mend after suffering injuries in July while filming the CBS legal drama “The Good Wife.”

Appearing on “Live! with Kelly & Michael” on Friday, the pixyish actress offered details of the accident, which happened during a New York location shoot.

An overhead lighting rig collapsed, she said, striking her in the face, slamming her to the ground and knocking her out.

Chenoweth, 44, said she continues to recover from a skull fracture and rib, neck and back injuries. But she said she felt “blessed” that the mishap wasn’t worse.

Although forced to withdraw from her recurring role on “The Good Wife,” she’ll appear on its Sept. 30 season premiere.

Queen’s ‘Bond’ spoof corgi co-star dies

Buckingham Palace says one of Queen Elizabeth II’s corgis, who took a star turn in the James Bond sketch during the Olympics opening ceremony, has died.

Monty and two other of the queen’s beloved corgis appeared in a James Bond sketch during the opening ceremony, greeting Daniel Craig’s James Bond as he arrived at the palace to accept a mission from the monarch.

The palace on Sunday confirmed that Monty – who was previously owned by the queen’s mother – had died. It did not provide details on when or how Monty died, or the age of the dog, but added that another of the queen’s pets, dachshund-corgi crossbreed Cider, also had died.

With the death of Monty, Queen Elizabeth II now has two corgis in the palace, Willow and Holly.
