Amber was born to Charles and Genevieve Loitved in Bonners Ferry, ID.
She had one brother, Jack Loitved.
All have preceded her in death.
While Amber had no family close in her later years, she loved and adopted the Zinkgraf Family, Tyson, Shalina, Teresa, Ken, Anna, and Lark, who called her Great-Grandma Amber.
We look forward to the time when we’ll see her restored to life as God intended; leaping as a stag, singing with joy and seeing all of us for the first time.

She is also missed by her dear friend, Lois Reyburn of Roosevelt UT, whom she loved very much; her cousin, Beth Loitved and family from Canby OR who were dear to her.
And many friends whom she loved; these we’d like to thank for their love and support.
Amber was born deaf.
She was raised by her grandmother in Spokane, WA where she attended Irving School; there she learned to speak and read lips.
At 12 years old she went to live in Bonners Ferry.
She attended the Idaho School for the Deaf where she learned sign language.
She graduated from Bonners Ferry High School in 1944.
Later she won a scholarship to Gallaudet College for the Deaf in Washington D.C.
At the age of 40 she lost her sight and learned to read braille.
She was active volunteering for the Blind Society and giving her life experience to ASL students in many colleges.
Amber was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses in 1984.
She remained a faithful and zealous minister of the “Good News” for 28 years.
Amber lived a full though not always easy life, and touched many with her humor, strength, and determination to succeed.
A memorial service will be held on September 15, 2012 at the Hay’s Park Kingdom Hall, 2824 N Lee St at 4:30 pm.
