Age 58

SMITH,
Margery Jean
April 21, 1954 to
September 10, 2012

Margery “Margie” Jean Smith passed away peacefully in her sleep on Monday, September 10th, 2012.

She was in her bed at her long-time home in Airway Heights, WA.

Born to Robert Boden Smith and Mary Alice Smith in Las Vegas, Nevada, she was the youngest of three children.

The family traveled extensively throughout the Western United States, eventually settling in East Spokane in 1956.

After attending Pratt Elementary and Libby Junior High School, Margie opted to join the family’s business in lieu of continuing her education.
In 1970, Margie met Santiago Tabino, Jr., married him a year later, and started a family.

She gave birth to the first of four children in 1972 and then began her new life as a mother and homemaker.

When they divorced in 1983, Marge went back to further her education.

She achieved her High School Diploma, her Nursing Assistant Certification, and then began her career as an Attendant Counselor for the State of Washington at Lakeland Village.

After a courtship that lasted for several years, she married Ronald Smith in 1987; together they have experienced the joy of welcoming ten grandchildren into the family over the last fifteen years.
Marge is survived by her husband, Ron; her mother Mary; her sister Mary Anne; and her brother Robert.

She also leaves behind her four children and their spouses Santiago III (Amy), Adam (Jamie), Mary (Steve) and Paulo (Kari); and her grandchildren Spencer, Emma, Saul, Jaedon, McKenna, Lincoln, Carter, Taylor, Lexi, and Paulo Jr. She led a very active and family-oriented life.

She sacrificed much for the prosperity of her children.

Her friends and family will ever keep her in our hearts.
There will be a memorial/remembrance at her home (1804 S. Campbell, Airway Hts., WA 99001) on Saturday, September 15th starting at 12:00PM.
