Whitworth women’s soccer wins NWC opener
Amy Sterk’s header goal in the 86th minute Wednesday gave Whitworth a 1-0 win over host Whitman in a Northwest Conference women’s soccer opener at Walla Walla.
Tiara Pajimola crossed the ball to the middle of the box to set up Sterk’s winner.
Both teams are 1-4 overall.
• Kellsi Parson scored three times during the first 12 minutes and Emilee Cordon finished with two goals and three assists as host North Idaho (4-3) cruised to a 13-0 nonconference win over Wenatchee Valley (2-3-1).
