OLSEN, Minnie Elizabeth
Went to be with Jesus while sleeping in her home near family on Sunday, September 3rd, 2012.
A lifetime resident of Spokane, Minnie was born at Sacred Heart to Dolly Francis (Cole) and Pearl Everett Forester on March 19th, 1935.
She had two younger siblings: Belle Killinger and Tom Forester, graduated from North Central High School in 1953 and attended college at E.W.U.
Minnie married Norman J. Olsen in 1955.
They had three children: Normandie Kononen, James Olsen and Eric Olsen.
She had a grandson, David Victor Kononen by her daughter Normandie, and a granddaughter, Lela Elizabeth Olsen by her son Eric.
Minnie’s life’s passion was for the Lord, her family and children.
Minnie loved being with, around and educating little children as evidenced by teaching preschool for over 20 years and Sunday School for two and three year olds for 50 plus years at Ridgeview Christian Center.
Minnie was preceded in death by her father, mother and aunt Thelma Belle Bickle, and is survived by her husband, siblings, children and grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday September 29th at 10:00 at Ridgeview Christian Center.
