Mount Spokane plans for bikes

OUTPEDAL – (Editor’s note: this storie is updated online on Sept. 19 to correct numbers from survey.) With help from a survey conducted last fall, Washington State Parks has worked up a Preliminary Mountain Bike Trail Proposal for Mount Spokane. The plan is available online.

The plan seeks the most popular course for developing trails to attract more riders while addressing safety.

Note: 74 percent of the survey participants said biking was the trail activity they most enjoy; 21 percent said they had experienced trail-user conflicts at Mount Spokane.

See the plan and comment by Oct. 7 in the new online survey,   www.parks.wa.gov /plans/mtspokanemtnbike.
