Representative is responsive

Weeks of reading The Spokesman-Review’s letters to the editor has encouraged me to submit a letter that I feel needs to be considered. In my opinion, there appears to be a one-sided, negative published view of Rep. Cathy McMorris Rodgers.

Let me state that in the past four years I have written all my Republican and Democratic elected officials to let them know how things were going for me based on the job they were doing. I have always received a low level of responses from all except one. McMorris Rodgers and her office staff have consistently and timely replied to all my letters and calls.

As my voice in Washington, D.C., Cathy has recently authored a bill in the House that affects us all. HR 5892 is dealing with the streamlining of our nation’s hydropower regulations, which benefits us here immeasurably in Washington. She just voted yea for passage of the Pathway to Job Creation through a Simpler, Fairer Tax Code Act of 2012.

She has been proactive in her effort to ensure our voice is heard for a better government. Thank you, Cathy.
