MUNKERS, Carol June
Went to be with Our Lord and Savior on Saturday, September 15, 2012.
A Remembrance of Carol’s life will be held on September 20th at 12 noon at Ball and Dodd Funeral Home, 5100 West Wellesley in Spokane.
A lifetime area resident, she was born May 31, 1923 in Wilbur, Washington, the daughter of Rolf and Nora (Widby) Dwinell.
Carol graduated from North Central High School in 1941 and Kinman Business University.
Carol is preceded in death by her husband, Bill Munkers, her sister, Virginia Ross and her Brother, Robert Dwinell.
Carol began working at Safeway Stores Division Office in 1948, and retired as Executive Secretary for the Division President in 1986.
She was a member of the American Business Women’s Association, Lilac City Dog Training Club, Northside Bowlers and the Sundance 9 Hole Golf group.
Carol is survived by her stepsons Charles W. Munkers Jr. of Mazatlan, Mexico, Michael L. Munkers of Las Vegas, Nevada; and two nephews, Steve Ross of Spokane and Scott Ross of Colorado.
Carol lived life to the fullest, vibrant in every way, loved by everyone she met, and most remembered by her joy for life.
She will be greatly missed.
