Obituary: Woolery, Burton Carl “Bill”


WOOLERY, Burton Carl “Bill”

Born September 26, 1936 in Spokane, WA to Burton and Marion Woolery.
He lived in Spokane until his teens when he moved to Reedsport.

He graduated from Reedsport High School.
Bill joined the USAF after working a few years at the sawmill.

In the Air Force he was an inflight mechanic and honorably discharged in 1963.
He moved back to Spokane and met and married Cheryl.

She was the foundation of his life and together they built a happy life together.
Bill worked for Western Fruit, a division of Burlington Railroad, for 28 1/2 years.
Bill is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Cheryl Woolery; his daughters: Connie Pauling, Kristy (husband Todd) Barton; sons: Scott (wife Audry) Sonsalla, Mark (wife Anna) Sonsalla and son Bill Brown and daughters Roberta, Robin and Randy Smith of Oregon.

He leaves behind 28 grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Bill is preceded in death by his parents, brother Wesley and sister Pat.
The family wishes to express thanks to Horizon Hospice of Spokane and suggest memorial contributions be made to Hospice, 123 W. Cascade Way, Spokane, WA 99208.
Services to celebrate Bill’s life will be held at Dishman Baptist Church, 315 N. Argonne, Spokane Valley, WA on Saturday, September 22 at 2pm.
