Proud of McMorris Rodgers

I am a proud American of Mexican heritage and a Spokane resident since 1968. My first husband was a veteran of Pearl Harbor, and my daughter Diane a survivor of the Sept. 11 attacks.

Our family met farm girl Cathy McMorris Rodgers when she first ran for Congress. She was so impressive and trustworthy that I helped her campaign, and she won.

My daughter Liz became a congressional page in Cathy’s first term. Cathy brought us inside the Capitol and honored at Liz’s ceremony. Cathy was protective, caring and accessible to my child in Washington, D.C. Liz says it was the best year of her life.

The more I know Cathy, the more I respect and admire her. It is her high standard of leadership and virtue that makes me write this letter. She is as pristine as anyone can be. I know her. I know.

I agree with her on no overtaxation, no overspending, no overregulation, no overprinting money, and safety for our country and our interests abroad.

Patriotic she is. Incorruptible she is.

I trust my country to Cathy 100 percent. I’m proud to support her re-election. You won’t regret if you do too. She’s doing an outstanding job.
