Virginia was born in Sheridan, Wyoming, on October 15, 1927, the daughter of Ernest and Sylvia Jeffres.

She passed away on September 19, 2012 in Spokane.

She spent her earlier years in the Sandpoint area.

Most of the rest of the time was spent in Washington state.

Virginia married Robert Bonner in 1950.

He was a great husband and father; he passed away in 1980.

They had two daughters, Merrie-Lee and Barbara Ann.

Merrie-Lee passed away in 2006, and Virginia missed her very much.

Her granddaughter Tashi was the delight of Virginia’s life and she supported all of Tashi’s interests, and was a frequent spectator at Tashi’s softball games.

Virginia didn’t ask for much; she only wanted to be with family and friends.

Virginia loved to travel and visit new places.

She loved animals, especially her two cats, and wildlife.

Her favorite music was Irish and Celtic music, jigs and reels.

She was a collector of figurines, often entered sweepstakes, and enjoyed reading health information.

She took great pride in her beautiful yard and flowers.

Virginia earned a two year college degree in Culinary Arts in 1972.

She belonged to the Eagles No.

2 Auxiliary, V.F.W.

No.

1494 Auxiliary, Alzheimer’s Association, and also to Corbin, Sinto, Hillyard and Southside Senior Centers.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers.

Survivors include daughter Barbara Ann, sister-in-law Betty Jeffres, granddaughter Tashi Eldore, son-in-law Jim Eldore and special friends Evelyn Taylor, Sheila Boyle, Curt Rein, Barbara Brennan and Teri Abernathy.

A Graveside Service will be held at 2 PM on Sunday, September 23rd at Greenwood Memorial Terrace.
