SEGER, Curtis Lee
“Squint”

December 3, 1920 - September 7, 2012

Curtis was born in Palmer, Iowa.

He attended and graduated from school in Hamilton, Montana.

He eventually settled in Spokane Washington, where he met and married his wife of 54 years, Margaret Day.
Curtis was first employed as a Chef in Butte Montana.

He later worked for Brown Trailers, and was one of the first hires of Kaiser Aluminum (Mead).

He was a Union Representative for the Ironworkers and then went on to be the Maintenance Supervisor.

He retired after 36 years.
You might say Curtis never let any “grass grow under his feet.”

He enjoyed life, his family, and friends.

He was an avid bowler, and did bowl (2) perfect games.

His china hutch was always adorned with many trophies.

He also enjoyed playing cards, watching sports (especially Gonzaga Basketball) and Westerns.

He enjoyed traveling with his family, and also had a love for banjo music.
He always had a kind word or joke for everyone he met.

He left us with a lot of great memories.

Curtis lived strong and entered into Heaven quietly with his family at his side.

The family would like to thank everyone involved who got to know him and help make his life a blessing at the end.

He will be greatly missed.
Curtis is preceded in death by his wife (Margaret), son (Bob Seger), and grandson (Justin Nelson).

He is survived by son (John Harvey), daughters: (Julie Petersen, Janice McCallum); brother (Vincent Seger); one niece, one nephew, nine grandchildren, six great- grandchildren, and numerous relatives.
Funeral Services will be held at Valley Assembly Church, location: 15618 E. Broadway, Spokane Valley, WA 99037 (across from Wal-Mart) September 26th, Wednesday, 2:00 p.m.
