Missing Coeur d’Alene boy found

A 12-year-old Coeur d’Alene boy who had been missing since Friday morning has been found.

Chance Joshua Belnap was sitting in a grassy area at Seltice Way and McGuire Road in Post Falls. Police said he is “physically fine” and may have walked away from home voluntarily. “Detectives will continue to follow- up and determine what caused him to leave,” police said on the Coeur d’Alene police Facebook page.

The Amber Alert issued after his disappearance has been canceled.

“The police department would like to thank all of the media, and citizens that turned out last night and today to help search for Chance,” police said. “We are grateful to have such caring citizens in our community.”
