Fairfield City Council – The town’s new summer lunch program was a success. Volunteers served 1,028 meals this summer. There was some discussion of applying for a grant to add tutoring to next summer’s program. There is a section of new sidewalk that has been crumbling. The town is working to fix the issue. Rockford City Council – The council during a short meeting discussed amending the town’s animal control ordinance. The town has been preparing for the Southeast Spokane County Fair. (Source: Town clerk Darlene LaShaw)
