Passed away on September 19, 2012 in La Jolla, CA.


A longtime Spokane resident, she had been living in the San Diego area for the past several years.


While living in Spokane Sandra graduated from North Central High School and lived in the Spokane Valley for many years.


Sandra worked at Caterpillar and SuperValu in Spokane and was an organizer of the Spokane Lilac festivites and parade.

In recent years she had been the Executive assistant to the CEO of a San Diego area Biotech firm and was a volunteer to many charities including, After the Finish Line for retired race horses.

She also volunteered at the U.S. Open Golf Tournament staged at Torrey Pines Golf Course in 2008.

Sandra was known as a tireless worker for not only her job but all of her volunteer work.

She always had a smile on her face and time for everyone.

She is beloved by her family and loved watching her grandsons in whatever activites they were involved in.

Sandra was born in Houston, Texas on April 3, 1943.

She was formerly married to Larry Beach who passed away in 2002 and was the daughter of the late Mark G. Rudy and the late Jo Ann Garvie.

Sandra is survived by her two sons, Brian and his wife, Lotta of Pasadena, CA, and Dan and his wife, Barbara of San Diego, CA; grandsons, Jeffrey and Jack Beach; brother-in-law, Willy Hoff of Cottonwood Bay in Idaho; niece, Deanne of Portland, OR, and nephews Greg of Portland, OR and Dave Hoff of Mesa, AZ and their families; as well as numerous cousins living in Texas.

A memorial service is being planned by the family in the San Diego area.
