They spent time in Trinidad where Lloyd was stationed during World War II.

They resided in Los Angeles after the war where Jo worked as a decorator for Bullocks Department Store and later had her own decorating business.

Lloyd passed away in 1990.

In 1998 she moved to Spokane to be with her daughter, Joan Bowen Forni, who is an Instructional Coach at Longfellow School, and her husband Vic Forni, who is the retired CEO of United Way of Spokane County.

In addition to Joan and Vic, she leaves two grandsons, Marc Forni of Washington, DC, and Greg Forni of Los Angeles.
