DAVIS, Phyllis Marie
(Age 94)

12-14-1917 to 09-20-2012

Phyllis was born in Davenport, WA to Frank C. Schultz and Eunice Keese Schultz.

She had one sister, Genevieve Schultz.

All predeceased her.

She graduated from Central Valley HS in 1935 and from Kinman Business University in 1936.

She was employed at Interstate Telephone Company for five years.

She was united in marriage to Verbel C Davis in 1940, who was the boy next door.

Verbel predeceased her in 1996.

She was a volunteer noon-aid for McDonald Elementary School for 17 years, and a reading volunteer at Keystone Elementary.

During her lifetime she was a consummate artist and loved painting pictures for her family and friends in oils and pastels.

Phyllis loved her family.

She is survived by her three sons and their wives: Alan and Carol Davis of Mead, WA, Spencer and Deborah Davis of Newman Lake, WA and Martin and Corrine Davis of Spanaway, WA, 6 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and her sister-in-law, Phyllis Davis of Portland, OR.

Phyllis was a long-time, faithful member of her church.

Her beloved church friends were a large part of her life.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Foundation or to Horizon Hospice of Spokane.

Visitation will take place from 4-8pm on Tuesday, September 25, 2012 at Thornhill Valley Chapel, 1400 S. Pines Rd., Spokane Valley, WA.

A Funeral Service will be held at 1pm on Wednesday, September 26, 2012 at Thornhill Valley Chapel.

Interment to follow at Pines Cemetery.
