Passed away in Spokane Valley, WA on September 15, 2012.
She was born February 18, 1927 in Hillsboro, OR to William and Clara MacDonald.
Joyce graduated from North Central High School in 1945 and married Donald Weir in 1948.
They raised their family in Spokane and Joyce worked at the old Crescent department store during the 1970’s and 1980’s.
She enjoyed being with her family and hosting dinner/cocktail parties for her many friends.
She and Don liked to travel and they especially enjoyed Hawaii.
Joyce was a sweetheart who enjoyed startling people with her droll, uncurbed wit.
She will be greatly missed by her family, her lifelong friends, and the residents and staff of Broadway Court Estates where she spent her final years.
Joyce is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Tom and Sandi Weir; daughter and son-in-law Ellen and Gary Cassill; and grandsons Brandon Weir, Sean Cassill and James Cassill.
She was preceded in death by her husband Donald Weir.
