BLUMHAGEN, Arnold “Arnie”

Arnold “Arnie” Blumhagen, 86, of Decatur, AL, passed away on September 22, 2012 and funeral services will be Monday, September 24, 2012 at 1:00 PM at PECK FUNERAL HOME CHAPEL with Peck Funeral Home directing.

Burial will be in Burningtree Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be Monday, September 24, 2012 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the funeral home.


Mr.

Blumhagen died on Saturday, September 22, 2012 at Riverside Senior Living.

He was born January 20, 1926, in Wenatchee, Washington to Albert E. Blumhagen and Mary Blumhagen.

Arnie worked for many years in the Aluminum industry, both in the United States and abroad and also worked several years as an independent trucker.

He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
He was preceded in death by his parents: his sister: Ruth Rush, and his brothers: Rex, Dale, and Earl Blumhagen and a step-son: Vic Lyle.


Survivors include : his wife of 35 years, Bettye Blumhagen, Decatur, AL; one son: Terry Lyle, Vinemont, AL; two daughters: Greta Fawcett (Doug), Ruther Glen, VA, and Katrina Bell (Dennis), Marietta, OH; grandchildren: Mandy, Jason, Chris, Cassi, and Loren; and two great-grandchildren.
