Pearl M.

Surrounded by her loving family and friends, Pearl Maxine Votava passed away peacefully on September 24, 2012.

Pearl was born 84 years ago to Al and Lilian Rudolf in Cheney, WA.

She attended Mead School and received a BA from WSU.

While at Pullman she met Ed Votava, fell in love and married in August 1949.

They have five living children, Daniel (Kathy) Votava, Randall (Debbie) Votava, Teresa (Bob) Phillips, Jenifer (Joe) Ortiz and Josef Votava; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren; also one sister, Barbara (Bill) Votava; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her parents, brother Robert and infant daughter Monica Ellen.
Pearl played organ at Fowler and St. Charles Churches.

She was past president of the St. Charles Altar Society and a devoted sister of St. Paul’s Guild.

She was involved in Bluebirds, Cub Scout Den Mother, St. Joseph’s Care Center, senior lunches, Meals on Wheels and worked on the election board over 30 years.

She tried to live her life full of love and fun with her family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to: St. Charles Parish (4515 N Alberta St, Spokane WA 99205) and Hospice of Spokane (PO Box 2215, Spokane WA 99215).

Visitation will be Friday, September 28 from 12-7pm with Vigil services beginning at 7pm, all at the funeral home.

Funeral Mass will be Saturday, September 29, 2012 at 11am and will be celebrated at St. Charles Catholic Church, 4515 N. Alberta, Spokane, WA.

Interment will be at Holy Cross Cemetery, Saturday, September 29 at 2pm.
