Born August 7, 1923 in Provo, Utah to William Hilton Burch and Pearl Estella Bradford Burch.

Bill, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather and scout leader died peacefully at home September 25th, 2012.

Bill had just turned 89 on August 7th.

He is survived by his wife, Betty; sons, Brad, Brent, Brian, Bob; and daughter Barbara.

He had 23 grandchildren and several great grandchildren, a brother, George Burch (Salt Lake) and a sister, Lois Morgan (Calif.) He worked as a commercial artist in his own sign shop in Spokane, Washington until 1990 when he retired to Orem, Utah.

A life long member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Bill served in many callings including Bishop twice, Stake High counsel and his favorite Scout Master.

Bill used his ability to carve as a tool to teach and inspire thousands of scouts and their leaders.

Bill was adored by his grandchildren.

Bill served in the Navy during World War II.

Bill and Betty just celebrated their 69th wedding anniversary on September 21st.

He will be missed but we are sure he continues to teach and inspire a new audience of enthusiastic listeners.

A viewing will be held Sunday, the 30th of September at the Suncrest Stake Center at 90 North 600 West in Orem, from 5 to 7pm.

The funeral will be Monday, October 1st at 11am at the same Stake center with a viewing from 9:30-10:30 a.m. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.walkersanderson.com. WALKER SANDERSON FUNERAL HOME.
