Arlus M.

Arlus M. Marron passed away Friday morning, September 14, 2012 in a Butte, Montana hospital.

She was born in Beaulieu, Minnesota on January 4, 1928 to Edwin and Katherine (Blaser) Bjerke.

They lived in Minnesota for all her school years and she married Al Hendrickson on April 15, 1947.

They moved to Spokane, Washington a year later but returned to Minnesota and Fargo, North Dakota until 1952.

They returned to Spokane where she lived for 24 years.

While in Spokane she worked at the Elks Club for over four years and the Domini Sandwich Shop for six and a half years.

She also sold Tupperware, Sarah Coventry Jewelry and Watkins at various time through the years.


Arlus moved to Butte in 1976 and married Harold Marron on April 12, 1976.

He passed away January 13, 2009.

Also preceding her in death are her parents, her first husband, Alfred Hendrickson, her nephew, Steven Oulman, brothers, Lester, Harold and Kermit Bjerke and her sister, Evelyn Thomas.


She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Gregory Hendrickson of Butte, Douglas and Trish Hendrickson and Mark and Cheryle Hendrickson of Spokane, daughter and son-in-law, Gayle and Allen Bunge of Spokane, grandchildren: Tammee and Chip Walker, Jordan, Taylor, Tracy and Amy Hendrickson, great-grandchildren: Katee and Will Walker and Lexie Hendrickson.

Also surviving are her sisters Marcella Gallagher and Katherine Hoyt and brother and sister-in-law, Wilbur and Lucille Bjerke all of Spokane.


In lieu of flowers, memorials in memory of Arlus may be made to Our Lady of the Rockies of the Butte Community Food Bank.
Cremation has taken place.

Liturgy of the Resurrection was celebrated at St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Butte on September 21st at 1 PM.
