EMMEL,
Elaine E.
(Age 85)

Born December 22, 1926 in Wenatchee and passed away September 26, 2012 in Lberty Lake. Elaine lived in Marlin, WA until age four, then moved to Orient, WA during her school years. Later in Spokane, she met the love of her life, Wayne Emmel. They married November 10, 1946 and had two children Vicki and Steve. Then after almost 63 years of marriage, they were separated only by Wayne’s death on September 11, 2009. Elaine loved Jesus with all her heart, was an avid reader and loved reading her Bible. She tought Tiny Tots and was part of the prayer team at First Baptist Church. Elaine was a Prayer Warrior and walked with God, interceding for others with prayer and fasting. She was a loving Wife, Mom, Grandmother, Sister, Aunt and Friend. She was very hospitable, excellent at cooking and baking, so around Christmas she would take goody baskets to neighbors and friends. She liked to garden and loved her roses. She also liked to knit and sew. She loved the family gatherings at their place on Deer Lake. She was preceded in death by Grover and Charlotte James, husband Wayne Emmel, daughter Vicki Giffin (August 3, 2012), brother Dale James and sisters Zena James and Vida Blackstone. She is survived by her brother Brainard James of Enterprise, Oregon, sisters Zella Johnson of Chattaroy and Leola Grace of Spokane, her son Steve and Roxy Emmel of Liberty Lake, five grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, numerous nieces and nephews. Her greatest cry was that others would know “Jesus”!
She was loved and is already greatly missed! Memorial Service on Friday, October 5th at 2PM at Fairmount Memorial Park’s Sunset Chapel.
