Obituary: Routt, Pauline K.
Born September 18, 1916 to John Wesley and Nannie Frazee in Cleveland, Missouri. Pauline entered into rest September 25, 2012 after a short illness. She married James Routt in 1940 in Paola, Kansas and had two children, Nanette and James Jr. Pauline worked as a buyer at Newberry’s, at Fairchild Survival School Cafeteria and at St. Joseph Care Center as a receptionist until she retired. A long-time resident of Spokane since 1957, Pauline enjoyed fishing, cooking and gardening. She loved being a grandma and spending time with her family. Pauline was diagnosed with breast cancer over 20 years ago and was a survivor, something that her family was very proud of. She is preceded in death by her husband James Routt and daughter-in-law Dee Routt. Pauline was the youngest of seven children, all preceding her in death. She is survived by her daughter, Nanette Atkison (Tim); son, James Routt (Candy), her grandchildren Michelle Gallagher (Jason), Dawn Keck (John), Bryant Routt (Emily), Angela Routt; great-grandchildren, Craig Besel, Tristen Gallagher, Shannon Gallagher, Lindsay Keck, Bradley Routt, Lane Keck, Logan Keck and Marianne Routt. The family would like to thank ManorCare for their wonderful care and all that they did for her and the family during her stay. A family gathering will take place at Fairmount on October 6, 2012 where she will be interred.
