Age 91


STARRETT, Col. Jack R.

Passed away September 19th.

He was born October 1, 1921 in Seattle.

He graduated from Roosevelt High Schooland Whitworth University where he met his wife Joyce Warren.

Joyce’s father, Frank Warren was president of Whitworth and performed their marriage ceremony.

Jack entered medical school in St. Louis, interned at Deaconess Hospital in Spokane, then began a family practice in North Bend, Washington.

After four years there, he entered a residency in radiology sponsored by the Air Force.

The rest of his career was in various postings including two tours of duty in Thailand during the Vietnam War.

Jack is survived by his wife of sixty seven years, his daughter Cindy Rach, his son Rich Starrett, three grand children, and six great-grand children.

He was preceded in death by his son Rob Starrett.

At his request, there will be no formal service.
