Authorities identify two people found dead in Cheney

From staff reports
Spokane County’s medical examiner has released the identity of the two people found dead Saturday in a Cheney apartment. Erin (Roman) Michele Bailey, 46, died of gunshot wounds to the chest, a news release said. The manner of death was listed as homicide. David (Reena) J. Andrews, 66, died of a gunshot wound to the head, the release said. The manner of death was suicide. Cheney police went to the Rosebrook Inn, 304 W. First St., at 11:40 a.m., responding to a report of two bodies inside an apartment. Officers found a male and a female victim. Authorities don’t believe there are any suspects at large, according to Deputy Craig Chamberlin of the Spokane County Sheriff’s Office, which is assisting in the investigation. A neighbor who didn’t wish to be identified said she knew the victims. She said she usually sees the woman daily but hadn’t seen her for the past few days. One of the victim’s relatives had reported them missing on Thursday.
