Obituary: Van Riper, Shirley

VAN RIPER, Shirley (Age 75) Shirley Jeanne Van Riper passed away March 29, 2013 in Bellevue, Washington.

Survived by two daughters, Deborah L. Davison and husband Pat of Spokane, Washington and Julie K. Tuttle (Clouse) and husband Jeff of Bellevue, Washington.

Son, Richard S. Van Riper and wife Stephanie of Port Orchard, Washington.

Shirley has one sister, Dorothy (Bobby) Lutzko of Spokane, Washington.

Seven grandchildren: Bradley, Elijah, Joseph and Abigail Davison; Christopher and wife Olivia of Pasco, Washington, Zachary, and Ethan Clouse, and one, great-grand son, Tayven Clouse.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill (Clarence) A.

Van Riper, 2010 and son, Robert Steven Van Riper in 2006.

A resident of the Tri-Cities for most of her life, she was a mother, wife and home maker.

She loved to knit, crochet and sew.

She had a love of music and sang in a church choir all her life as a soprano.

She was an avid gardener and loved the “peace” rose.

Shirley was a long time member of the Kennewick First Presbyterian Church and loved her Lord Jesus.

Services for Shirley will be at the Kennewick First Presbyterian Church, April 4, 2013 at 2pm.

Einen’s Funeral Home is taking care of burial arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society.
