Obituary: Murphy, Maurice Sean (Sean)
Age 56
Sean was born in London England.
He immigrated to the United States in October of 1976 with his mother, Monica.
His mother preceded him in death.
Sean joined the U.S. Army in 1977 and retired in 1997 out of Ft. Huachuca, Arizona.
He began his military career with a Combat Engineer Battalion and later became a well respected Medical Specialist, earning the Combat Medic Badge.
Sean was extremely patriotic and one of the most honorable men we knew.
Once he retired he worked tirelessly to help other vets get the services they needed.
He also gave of himself to many in need with his time, energy and money.
He was known as the Secret Santa of his apartment complex.
Sean loved anything to do with the military, history and computer technology.
He was a huge advocate for animals and spent much of his time making sure the local wild animals were well cared for.
In lieu of flowers, his friends and family ask that donations be sent to the local Humane Society or any organization that helps Veterans.
A memorial will be held Saturday, April 6th at 11:00am at the Indian Canyon Apartments, 1302 S Westcliff Place, Spokane WA in the clubhouse.
