Obituary: Crosbie, Diane

CROSBIE, Diane Diane Marie (Steel) Crosbie was born on February 3, 1943 in Lewistown, MT to Ben and Ardea Steel.

She passed away in Spokane, WA on March 25, 2013.

Diane grew up on the family farm in Buffalo, MT.

She graduated from Circle High School in 1961 then moved to Spokane, WA to attend Kinman Business College.

Diane married David Crosbie in 1962 and they made a home in Spanaway, WA after moving around the country with the Air Force.

She ended up raising her three sons on her own while working for St Clare Hospital in Tacoma, WA.

She then moved to North Idaho in 1993 and soon settled in Spokane, WA again where she worked at Principal Financial Group.

She retired in 2012.

Diane’s greatest joy was her family, especially her grandchildren, who loved her deeply.

She was always giving to others, always unselfish with her time and love.

Diane loved supporting her friends and family and was always helping others out.

She was such a special person, fun to be around, friendly to everyone, and she touched us all in so many ways.

She is leaving a big hole in the hearts of those who knew her.

Diane had so many close, loyal friends who will miss her greatly.

She was also a proud survivor of cancer and spent many hours supporting the American Cancer Society.

She is survived by her three sons: Doug (Aynur) Crosbie of Albuquerque, NM, David (Nichole) Crosbie of Spanaway, WA and Daniel (Karyn) Crosbie of Colbert, WA; eight grandchildren; siblings Lois Castonguay; Benita Solberg and Ben Steel; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

A celebration of Diane’s life will be held at Crossover Church (16825 N. Newport Hwy.

Mead WA 99021) on Saturday April 13th at 10:30 am.

The family asks that memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society .
