Obituary: Feldhausen, Pauline K.

Age 94

FELDHAUSEN, Pauline C. “TOGETHER FOREVER” Pauline Catherine Feldhausen was born November 15, 1918 in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho to Philip and Mary Litzenberger and she quietly passed into the House of the Lord on April 1, 2013 at Hospice House of Spokane after a brief battle with cancer.

Her final days were buoyed by her sons and their families’ faithful attendance at her bedside until the end.

She also found great comfort in her religion and her belief that she would soon be joining her husband and daughter in heaven.

Pauline Feldhausen is remembered by many family and friends as a quiet graceful woman who inspired people with her humor and generous spirit.

Family members fondly remember summers at Lake Cocalalla and special moments with grandchildren and great grandchildren Pauline was preceded in death by her husband John L. “Jack” on November 27, 2003, their daughter Mary Kathleen, her parents, her sister Emma Fredekind and brothers Albert, Otto, and Phillip Litzenberger and is survived by her brother David Litzenberger of Moore, South Carolina.

She is also survived by her sons Michael of Lacey, Washington, Thomas of Spokane Valley, Anthony of Sagle, Idaho and Stephen of Athol, Idaho and their families.

She reveled in the frequent visits and stays of her 11 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.

They all remember the smell of some special treat fresh from the oven as they entered the kitchen from the back porch.

She was an active member of Saint Paschal Catholic parish and it’s Holy Names Society.

She treasured the friendships of her good neighbors in the quiet Millwood community.

Services are being planned for a mass at St. Paschal Catholic Church at 2523 N. Park Rd., Spokane Valley, WA at 11 AM, Monday, April 8, 2013, followed by a brief reception at the neighboring church hall.

A private interment ceremony and rosary service for the immediate family will be conducted at Holy Cross Cemetery that same afternoon.

In lieu of flowers any donations in her name should be sent to St. Paschal Catholic Church or Hospice House of Spokane.
