Obituary: Leone, Thomas M.

LEONE, Thomas M. (Age 87) Passed away on March 30, 2013 at Riverview Care Center.

Born 1925 in Plainfield, New Jersey, he moved to Italy at the age of two where he spent his formative years growing up in the countryside of eastern Italy.

Tom returned to the states with his family and settled in Junction City, KS where he graduated from high school before joining the Army Air Corps.

While in the service at McCord AFB, Tom met and married Donva Steffensen.

Tom and Donva had four children and were married 33 years prior to her passing in 1981.

Tom continued working civil service jobs retiring from the FAA in 1982 after 22 years of service on Mica Peak.

He enjoyed electronics, and could fix nearly anything.

His greatest loves were his family, tinkering in the garage, and gardening.

Tom married Margie Fearn in 1985, spending their time traveling to Arizona in the winter months and returning to Spokane during the summer to be with family and friends for most of their 28 years of marriage.

Tom is survived by his four children Michael (wife Teresa), Mark, Craig (wife Sherri) and Tami; his wife Margie; her three children, Corrin (husband Matt), Brian (wife Linda) and Joel.

Tom is also survived by 11 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

A viewing will be from noon to 5pm followed by a Vigil at 7:00 PM on Friday, April 12th, at Hennessey Funeral Home, 2203 N Division.

The funeral will be held at St. Aloysius Catholic Church, 330 E. Boone Avenue at 11:30 AM on Saturday, April 13th.

Father Cochran will be officiating.

Burial will be at 2:30PM at Greenwood Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to House of Charity.
