Guidebook packed with information

Fishing Washington ($23, moon.com), an staggering compilation of fishing information for virtually all significant fishing waters, was released in a revised seventh edition last year.

Terry Rudnick, who’s been fishing across the state for decades, says he rewrote about 60 percent of the book this time around.

“It’s amazing how much changes with fishing, some of it radically,” he said.

He dropped about 40 waters from his detailed listings but added nearly 20.

“One of the important features of the book is the contacts for updated info on each water,” Rudnick said, although he noted that some waters don’t have good on-sight contacts.

The book runs 527 pages and covers saltwater as well as freshwater lakes and streams, plus a wealth of fishing details and precise driving directions.
