NRA members unhappy

I have been a continuous subscriber of The Spokesman-Review for more than 40 years. Lately, I have been concerned by your anti-gun comments and tasteless, negative cartoons depicting the National Rifle Association as a threat to our country.

I have been a Life Member of the NRA since 1983. My wife is a longtime member. All my children are members. Most of my friends are members. We, collectively, would hope to be considered to be proud, honest, productive American citizens. And we believe the NRA has our best interests at heart. Your anti-NRA comments and cartoons are not setting well with any of us.

Old habits are hard to break. And 40-plus years is a long time. But I am seriously considering whether my further support of your paper is in my best interests.
