Here’s the Dirt: Group purchases business park

A Spokane-based investment group has paid $1.9 million to buy the three-building Country Homes Business Park at the corner of Country Homes Boulevard and North Division Street in north Spokane.

That purchase includes three mixed retail and commercial buildings, amounting to roughly 30,000 square feet.

Cody George of Kiemle & Hagood represented the seller, Eli Country Homes LLC. Chad Carper of the same brokerage represented the buyer, 9111 N. Division LLC.

Bank moving Spokane branch

Intermountain Community Bank is relocating its downtown Spokane branch from the Small Business Development Center to 618 W. Riverside Ave.

The branch intends to reopen by the end of April. The branch is part of the Panhandle Bank system, with head offices in Sandpoint.

The bank is leasing about 6,600 square feet on the main floor. Jim Quigley and Cody George of Kiemle & Hagood represented the landlord, BKWSpokane LLC of Kirkland. Mark McLees of NAI Black represented the bank.

Schmautz buys warehouse

Steve Schmautz, of 121 Development LLC, has purchased the former warehouse of Johnston Printing, at 159 S. McClellan. Schmautz plans to convert the building into multi-tenant offices.

He paid $455,523 for the 11,260-square-foot building erected in 1914.

The sellers were Steve and Patty Johnston.

Guy Byrd of Cornerstone Property Advisors represented the Johnstons. Vic Overholser of SDS Realty represented Schmautz, who has developed a number of area projects.

Group leases Valley space

Puget Environmental Group Inc. has leased 12,800 square feet at the Spokane Business & Industrial Park at 3808 N. Sullivan Road, Spokane Valley.

The company provides warehousing, manufacture and distribution of organic and conventional fertilizer and related products.
