Obituary: Olinger Ii, James Dale

OLINGER II, James Dale James Dale Olinger II was born the only son and youngest child to James (Jim) and Jannette (Fox) Olinger on Sept 23, 1964.

James fought a courageous battle against pancreatic cancer but was taken from us on April 8, 2013 at the age of 48.

He was born and raised in Spokane and graduated from West Valley High school in 1981.

He attended Central Washington University studying aviation flight science from 1982 to 1983, U of W from 1984 to 1986 studying aeronautical engineering and was a pilot before joining the U.S. Air Force where he worked in electronic warfare.

He graduated from EWU in 1996 with Bachelor of Science degree in chemistry and then worked at United Paint & Coating in Spokane, WA as a Chemist.

James married Michele (Hames-McInnis) and together they had the love of his life, his daughter Natalie.

James was preceded in death by his Dad, Mom and just eight months ago his youngest sister, Dr. Janella Olinger (also at age 48 from Metastatic Melanoma Cancer).

James is survived by his wife Michele, daughter Natalie and stepson Bryce Hames.

Two sisters, Janiene (Kevin) Rise and Jacalyn (John Chapman) Lodl-Olinger.

Three nieces, Jenniephier Rise, Chandra and Mikaela Lodl and only nephew, Jaried Rise.

James is also survived by aunts, uncles and cousins.

Services will be held at 11 am on Saturday, April 20th at Foothills Community Church, 11102 N. Forker Road in Spokane.
