Spokane Valley investigators seeking leads in suspected arson

From staff reports
Spokane Valley firefighters on Wednesday night battled the fourth suspected arson fire at a vacant home in the past year. The call to the fire at 806 N. Park Road came in around 8:30 p.m. Crews reported heavy fire in the front and rear with 30-foot flames from the roof. Firefighters knocked it down and had it under control within minutes, a news release said. No injuries were reported. The house has been vacant for several years and is for sale. Fires have occurred at the address on March 27, 2012, Sept. 20 and Sept. 23. All have been investigated as arson, but investigators have not had enough information to find a suspect, said Bill Clifford, assistant fire marshal for the Spokane Valley Fire Department. Anyone with information is asked to call the fire department at (509) 928-1700.
