Obituary: Morrison, Marian J. (Age 90)
(Age 90) Passed away on March 11, 2013.
She was born on September 2, 1922 in Seattle, Washington to Thomas and Lillian LaCusta.
Growing up, she alternated living in Seattle with living on the farm in Kent.
Marian graduated with honors in 1940 from Broadway High School on Capital Hill.
It was there she met her future husband, Allan Morrison.
Allan and Marian were married in January of 1943, just before Allan began training with the U.S. Army Air Corps.
Shortly, before Allan was shipped to England, their first son was born.
Later, while she was living in the Philippines, her daughter arrived.
After the Philippines, Spokane became her next family home for almost 14 years while her husband was stationed at Fairchild AFB.
Later, she lived in Virginia and Wiesbaden, Germany as Allan was reassigned to other posts.
Finally, she and Allan returned to their adopted home and many friends here in Spokane in 1969.
No matter where she was, she created home.
Marian is survived by her husband, Allan, her daughter, Patricia, her son, Michael and daughter-in-law, Margo; and her grandchildren, Alyssa and Monica.
And by her sisters of heart, Jen, Carmel, and Sally.
We wish to thank the staff of the Classy Retreat for the compassionate and respectful care they gave Marian during her final years.
At her request, there will be no services.
