Boise woman killed in I-90 rollover

A Boise, Idaho woman died early today when the car carrying her went off Interstate 90 near Ritzville and rolled.

The Washington State Patrol identified the woman as Dedra A. Morris, 22.

She was a passenger in a 2007 Ford Focus driven by Joseph J. Branda, 22, of Spokane.

Troopers said that Branda was eastbound when he fell asleep. The car went into the median and rolled onto the left lane on the westbound side of the freeway. The accident at 3:27 a.m. occurred two miles west of Ritzville.

Branda was taken to Providence Sacred Heart Medical Center for treatment of injuries and was in satisfactory condition there this afternoon.

No drugs or alcohol were involved, troopers said. Both persons were wearing seat belts. The accident remained under investigation today.
