Base won’t show cards

In reading Shawn Vestal’s April 12 column, I would say that he is right on point regarding Fairchild Air Force Base, the proposed new casino and the Air Force not speaking out. Having spent nearly 22 years active duty in the Air Force, and over 21 of those at Fairchild, I can tell you from experience, it is not what the Air Force says, but what they don’t say that we need to be concerned with.

A good military never shows all its cards, no pun intended.

If there is even a remote chance of a negative impact on the base, why take that chance?
