Junior Kaitlen Parsons (University High) and freshman Savana Bezdicek (Mt. Spokane) played key roles Tuesday as Northern Arizona won its record seventh team title at the Big Sky Conference championship at Ocotillo Golf Resort in Chandler, Ariz.
Parsons tied for second place at 1-under-par 215 after shooting her second consecutive 1-under 71. Bezdicek placed 22nd at 231, shooting a final-round 72 after opening the tourney with an 84.
The Lumberjacks finished at 882 for a four-shot win over Portland State.
Montana State junior Paige Crawford closed with a career- and tournament-record 67 for a seven-stroke victory at 8-under 208.
Eastern Washington placed sixth in the 11-team field at 911. Eagles senior Jayme Carbon closed with a 69 and tied for ninth at 4-over 220. Freshman Marissa Borja tied for 18th at 228.
• Washington State is in last place after the second day of the 11-team Pac-12 championship at Valencia (Calif.) Country Club.
The Cougars shot a second-round 318 to stand at 629, 19 shots behind 10th-place California. Sophomore Kristen Rue is the top Cougar, tied for 41st at 10-over 154.
