Spokane County property taxes are due Tuesday, the county is reminding property owners.
Mailed payments must be postmarked by Tuesday to P.O. Box 199, Spokane, WA 99210-0199.
Payments can also be made via debit or credit card on the Internet, in the Treasurer’s Office, in a collection box inside the front doors of the county Courthouse, or by telephone. The Treasurer’s Office is located on the second floor of the Courthouse, 1116 E. Broadway Ave. Hours are 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday and Tuesday.

Motorcyclist killed in crash near Worley
A motorcyclist died after he rear-ended a van on U.S. Highway 95 near Worley on Friday afternoon, according to the Idaho State Police.
ISP identified the dead man as Richard L. Nagy, 63, of Moscow. He failed to stop northbound when the van driver, Santino J. Aldrich, 26, of Worley, slowed down for a left turn onto a side road, an ISP news release said.
Aldrich was not injured in the crash. Nagy was wearing a helmet, ISP said.
Man faces arson, assault charges
Coeur d’Alene police officers on Thursday night arrested a man accused of lighting a trailer on fire near Kootenai Medical Center and then threatening officers with a knife.
A witness told police she saw a man start a fire at a construction trailer near the McCraine Center, according to a Coeur d’Alene Police Department news release.
As she spoke with police, the witness noticed the same man standing nearby watching firefighters extinguishing the flames, the release said.
Clark E. Richman, 43, cussed and pulled a knife when approached by Officer Spencer Mortensen, the release said. Mortensen held Richman at gunpoint until more officers arrived and helped arrest Richman, who police say kicked an officer as he was taken to the patrol car.
Richman is charged with second-degree arson, aggravated assault and battery on a police officer.
