The food truck will offer free, fresh produce and perishable products to all families in need. Anyone interested should bring a box to carry the food.

No appointments or documents are necessary to receive food, although you must be present unless you are housebound and can send a note with someone.

LETEM kudos

Katy Dolan, a junior at Central Valley High School and co-founder of Life Enhancement Through Education in Music (LETEM), is a finalist for a $10,000 Montage Memory Maker scholarship from Montage Hotels and Resorts. She is one of 10 finalists for whom the public can vote at www.montagehotels.com/ memorycontest.

If Dolan wins, she will receive the scholarship and a trip to the Montage Laguna Beach, plus a chance to meet Alan Fuerstman, the founder and CEO of Montage.

Dolan founded LETEM with CV band member Phillip Howard. The nonprofit group collects and refurbishes used band instruments for low-income students.

The organization also received a $1,500 donation from Spokane Teachers Credit Union for coming in second place in STCU’s Hundred Dollar Project.

Teen groups from Washington and Idaho submitted project ideas which “start a movement, launch an innovation, brighten a life or change the world.”
