Obituary: Nelson, Ronald Alfred
Ron was born February 2, 1928 to Alfred and Helen Perkins Nelson in Colville, Washington, the older of two children.
He grew up on Kelly Hill, Washington and graduated from Marcus Valley High School.
He met his beautiful bride, Evelyn Marie Beardslee in Orient, Washington and was married November 12, 1953.
During their 59 years of marriage, they were blessed with three wonderful children.
The family had many wonderful adventures with Ron through traveling, flying, camping, fishing and hunting.
Ron is survived by his loving wife Evelyn; daughter Anita Leopard and husband John of Colorado Springs CO; son Roger Nelson and wife Brenda of Spokane; daughter Judi Kulland and Husband Mike of Portland OR; six grandchildren, Kara Cooper, Erinn Barnes, Nathan Kulland, Justin Kulland, Gabrielle Kulland, and Allyson Nelson; five great-grandchildren, Makeyle, Addisyn, Boden, Madison, Kaitlin; one brother Robert Nelson and wife Joyce of Seattle WA.
Ron was preceded in death by his parents.
Ron was a loving and devoted husband and father; a faithful friend.
Ron touched many lives and will be missed by all those who knew and deeply loved him.
Memorial services for Ron will be held at 1:00 pm, Monday, April 29, 2014 at the River Christian Church on 5201 N. Market Spokane, WA 99217 with Pastor John Hickman officiating.
Lunch will be served at the church following the service.
