PUGH, Helen M. (Age 102) Passed away on April 16, 2013. Helen was born December 21, 1910, to Elmer and Belle Benson. She and her sister were raised on a ranch above Echo Bay on Coeur d’Alene Lake. Helen owned the grocery store in the Caryle Hotel in Spokane until 1960. She then worked as a teller at Washington Trust Bank until her retirement in 1975. Helen was a wonderful cook, seamstress, loved to read, play bridge and most of all, loved her family. She is survived by her five children, Arlene Olson, Joanne Marks, Ted (Danette) Pugh, Betty (Don) Lobdell, and Barry (Carol) Pugh. She has 12 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and seven great-great-grandchildren. Helen was preceded in death by her sister, Isabelle Shepard, and two sons-in-law, Nathan Marks and Aaron Olson. The family would like to thank all of the staff at Riverview Care Center for wonderful care they gave Helen. A family celebration of her life will be held this summer.
