Lyle Lovett played the Festival at Sandpoint in August 1993. (File)

We asked readers about the best performances they’d seen at the Festival at Sandpoint. Here are some of their responses:

ChezBetz Bowman

Was there about a dozen years ago to see Robert Cray, that was an awesome show.

Kerri Sandaine

Ruthie Foster and Susan Tedeschi were great. They performed with Etta James several years ago.

The Avett Brothers will be there & they’re the best live show I’ve ever been to. Go people!

Amber Jones

It’s always a great music fest but I will be missing it again this year.

Toss-up between Jan & Dean, and Natalie Cole…I really think, Natalie…oh, but then there was B.J. Thomas too…ooohh, this is hard…

I’ve been to quite a few over the past years. Probably the best show to me was Buddy Guy, who came out and said, “I’m here to give North Idaho a lesson in the blues,” and proceeded to do so. Other standouts include Pink Martini, Los Lonely Boys, Brandi Carlile, Los Lobos and Little Feat. I’ve heard there have been a few stinkers over the years, but I seem to miss them. My wife bought us season tickets this year, and we plan to be at most shows.

I think it’s yet to come! AVETT BROTHERS!

I saw the Beach Boys at Festival at Sandpoint when I was 10. My first concert & still one of the best.
